Contest Winner to Receive$10,000 in Trading Software and $2,009 in Cash
TAMPA BAY, Fla.--(Business Wire)--
TraderPlanet.com, a newly launched social networking website for active traders
and investors, today announced its first "Guess Where The Dow Will Close"
contest, offering members the chance to correctly predict the closing price of
the Dow Jones Industrial Average on January 30th, 2009, the last trading day of
the month.

The premise of the contest is simple: beginning January 10th through January
20th, entrants can submit answers online at (www.TraderPlanet.com), and the
contestant who comes closest to the actual closing price of the Dow on January
30th will win $10,000 in trading software, plus $2,009 in cash from
TraderPlanet.com. The winner will also have the option of applying the cash
winnings as a financial contribution to the charity of their choice via
TraderPlanet.com.

If more than one person chooses the same number that is closest to the Dow
closing price on January 30th, TraderPlanet.com will resolve the winner through
a tie-breaker question.

"The spirit of our contest conveys that our members are not afraid to take risks
and buck current market thinking," said Lane J. Mendelsohn, publisher of
TraderPlanet.com. "January has historically been a good month for the stock
market and, in particular, for the small-cap and value growth investor. There
are many theories about why January sets the tone of the stock market for the,
known as the "January effect", though some will insist that trading strategies
can`t predictably beat the market even though there`s evidence to dispute this."
