SANTA BARBARA, CA, Jan 12 (MARKET WIRE) --
El Capitan Canyon, nature lodging just north of Santa Barbara on the
Pacific coast, announces three winter packages for those with an aversion
to the cold to enjoy Southern California's temperate climate this season
from the deck of the Canyon's comfortable cabins.
The Relaxation & Rejuvenation package includes a one-night stay in a
Creekside Queen Cabin and two aromatherapy massages at the Canyon Spa.
Guests receive a complimentary aromatherapy candle, a bottle of specially
selected wine and two signature wine glasses.

January through March 31, 2009, subject to availability and excluding
holidays.
The Winter Warmth Package offers a two-night stay in one of the Creekside
Cabins, which feature large soaking tubs and gas fireplaces. The package
includes hot stone massages for two persons in the Canyon Spa and hot
breakfast at the inviting Canyon Market & Deli. Guests are welcome to
curl up by the fire and enjoy hot cocoa in complimentary Canyon mugs.
This package starts at $795 (taxes and gratuity not included) for the
Creekside King or Double Cabin and is offered from January through March
31, 2009, subject to availability and excluding holidays. There is a
two-night minimum.
El Capitan Canyon's popular fall package, Canyon to Wine Country, is
extended for the winter season! The package includes a two-night stay in a
Creekside King Cabin, ideal for couples as it features a gas fireplace and
soaking tub. The package begins with a bottle of Happy Camper wine upon
arrival, a bundle of firewood and a s'mores kit to enjoy while snuggled
around the fire pit. Guests will also receive two signature wine glasses.
The $525 package is extended through March 31, 2009, and is subject to
availability. Package price is based on double occupancy, does not include
taxes or gratuity and excludes holidays.
Guests heading to El Capitan Canyon this winter will enjoy staying in
heated tents or cabins set along the canyon floor under the sycamore
trees. Canyon staff can assist in planning an array of day trips,
including horseback riding, golf, ocean kayaking, monarch butterfly park
tours, whale watching, wine tasting and tours of downtown Santa Barbara.
Accommodations at the Canyon provide upscale furnishings in warm earth
tones and offer a variety of sleeping configurations. Both the cabins and
tents are furnished with comfortable duvets, western-style blankets,
linens and plush towels along with fire pits and picnic tables. Cabins
have full bathrooms and kitchenettes and many also have large soaking
tubs and gas fireplaces. Spacious heated safari tents feature electric
lighting, screened windows and doors with zip-down flaps. Convenient and
modern washroom facilities are located in nearby buildings.
