Adams Morgan Is Destination Change January 16-20

WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Adams Morgan Main Street (AMMG)
offers "Destination Change" with fun and off-beat events. Adams Morgan Main
Street, the non-profit organization that produces "Adams Morgan Day," presents
an Inaugural Promotion highlighting the unique and diverse elements of Adams
Morgan from Friday, January 16 through January 20.

Adams Morgan Main Street is hosting and showcasing interesting
inauguration-related events with everything from elephant pinatas to extended
hours to food and drink specials, costume contests, elephant dart boards,
Inaugural inspired artwork and more.

The Kick-Off is at the corner of 18th and Columbia Rd. on Friday, January 16
at 5:30 pm and 7:00pm with an Elephant Pinata Bash - Take a swing! Out with
the old, in with the new! Also, plan to "Tell the President!" your ideas by
posting them on the Kiosk. On Saturday, January 18 the public can take
another Swing at the Elephant Pinata at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, or catch another
opportunity with Grand Central's pinata that evening at 7:00pm.
L'Enfant Cafe offers a special Inaugural Brunch every day culminating in an
Elephant Pinata Bash at 11:00pm on Jan 19. Habana Village introduces
Inaugural Brunch on Jan. 17 and 18 from 10:30 am till 4:00 pm, and live music
on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Cashion's Eat Place offers all wines by the
glass for 1/2 price till 7:30pm, and on Saturday live music from Origem.
"Inaugural Inspired Artwork" is on display at Capitol Hemp from January 16
onward. On Sunday, January 18, Tom Tom hosts the Elephant Pinata at 2:00pm,
and on Monday, January 19, El Tamarindo rings in the transition to Inaugural
Day with an Elephant Pinata at Midnight.

Ventnor's Sports Cafe offers a "Pajama Brunch" on Inauguration Day, where
people can wear their pajamas for a slow start to prepare for the long day
into the evening ahead. Also on January 20, The Grill from Ipanema hosts an
Inaugural Ball, "Se Gana Con Obama"(We Win With Obama) with live Latin and
American music, wonderful Brazilian food, and another elephant pinata at
11:00pm.

Asylum offers a "President and First Lady" Costume Contest, and Bossa Bistro
showcases "Samba for Obama" on January 20, Tuesday evening.

Residents and visitors can celebrate change in one of DC's most eclectic
