Centene Corporation Names John T. Severine as Vice President of Real Estate

ST. LOUIS--(Business Wire)--
Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) today announced that John T. Severine has been
appointed Vice President of Real Estate, effective immediately. Mr. Severine,
based at the corporate headquarters in St. Louis, reports to William Scheffel,
Executive Vice President, Specialty Business Unit.

"Mr. Severine is a seasoned real estate executive with a background in property
management, new building construction, renovations, and corporate leasing,"
stated Mr. Scheffel. "His extensive knowledge of facility management will be a
great asset to Centene`s real estate activities."

Mr. Severine has more than 30 years of real estate experience. Most recently, he
was Director and Vice President of Facilities Management at A.G. Edwards & Sons,
Inc. Mr. Severine was responsible for all facility operations of its
headquarters campus in St. Louis including numerous data centers, a learning
center, several warehouses and a disaster recovery site. In his position, he
directed one of Missouri`s largest corporate campuses with over 4.4 million
square feet and received the 2006 NOVA Award from the fitness center industry
for a fitness center built at A.G. Edwards. Prior to that, Mr. Severine held the
position of Director and Vice President of Contingency Planning also at A.G.
Edwards & Sons.

Mr. Severine graduated with a bachelor`s degree in Business Administration from
Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville.
