WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was ranked in the top 10 when it comes to job satisfaction and results-oriented performance culture according to the 2008 Federal Human Capital Survey the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) released yesterday. OPM has surveyed federal employees every two years since 2002 to gauge their attitudes in four areas: leadership and knowledge management, results-oriented performance culture, talent management and job satisfaction. The survey identified the top 10 U.S. government agencies in each of those categories. More than 210,000 federal employees participated in the survey. "Throughout the USAID organization, we have all worked very hard to provide a working environment that all of us can find rewarding and effective," said USAID Administrator Henrietta Fore. "I am very proud of the results of this survey." The job satisfaction index indicates the extent employees are satisfied with their jobs and various aspects thereof. In this category, USAID ranked 6. The results-oriented performance culture index indicates the extent employees believe their organizational culture promotes improvement in processes, products and services, and organizational outcomes. In this category USAID ranked 10. Go to http://www.fhcs2006.opm.gov to see the survey results. For more information about USAID, visit www.usaid.gov.
