WASHINGTON, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a
photo opportunity this afternoon before meeting with Mexican President Felipe
Calderon Hinojosa in her office in the U.S. Capitol:

"Good afternoon. We welcome Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa to the
House of Representatives. We are very pleased that he has made time in his
visits with President Bush and President-elect Obama to visit Democrats and
Republicans in the House and in the Senate.

"Our two countries face great challenges together. As we do, we also have a
shared history. And as one who represents California in the Congress - a
history and a heritage that they are very proud of - we look forward to
talking about some of our environmental, economic, security, and all other
over-arching issues. We will do so with a mutual respect for each other's
points of view, but also for our path that we see together.

"With that, I'm very pleased to introduce President Calderon."
