India adds 8.12 mln GSM mobile users in Dec-industry
NEW DELHI, Jan 12 (Reuters) - India mobile operators added 8.12 million subscribers to their GSM-based networks in December to take total users to 257.85 million, data from the Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI) showed on Monday.

Note: The COAI represents nine telecoms firms who have
GSM-based networks. There are five other companies that offer
GSM services, including Reliance Communications Ltd (RLCM.BO),
whose subscribers are mainly on the rival CDMA network.
