ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2009 SHOT Show, opening today

The G22 RTF2 (Rough Textured Frame version #2) pistol will be featured in
the #938 GLOCK, Inc. booth this week. The new Rough Textured Frame design has
more than 4,000 raised pyramids on the front, rear and sides of the polymer
receiver. The raised pyramids are also located on the thumb rests for
increased grip traction. In addition, the slide on the G22 RTF2 has a new,
modern look with crescent shaped serrations located at the rear of the slide.
The newly designed frame is yet another feature on the GLOCK pistol that
signifies GLOCK's commitment to perfection. "We have already had several
major agencies commit to the G22 RTF2 and have had an outpour of interest from
our Commercial and Law Enforcement distributors about our new product," said
Director of Sales Craig Dutton. "We are looking forward to another record
year in 2009 and with the addition of the G22 RTF2 pistol, it should be a very
reachable goal!"
A few days before sending GLOCK, Inc. employees to the SHOT Show in
Orlando, they had the opportunity to visit with some deputies from the
Paulding County Sheriff's Department in Georgia. During the visit, Corporal
Mike Barker shot the G22 RTF2 at the GLOCK, Inc. Training Range and was
impressed with the results. "The texture on the pistol allows for a great
shooting grip. An officer can already be nervous in a tactical shooting
scenario and this new feature will ease your mind knowing that even if you are
only able to shoot with one hand, your grip will remain intact on the frame,"
said Corporal Barker. "The serrations on the slide also allow for easier
slide operation because it is more ergonomically correct. It will make a
great addition to your Law Enforcement arsenal."
    10mm AUTO SF pistols
The popular series of SF configured pistols became introduced to the
industry at the SHOT Show in 2007 with the 21 SF full size in .45 caliber
followed by the 30 SF subcompact .45 in 2008. These models have proven
extremely popular in both the Law Enforcement and Commercial markets
domestically and internationally and now customers can have these same
qualities in the highly powerful 10mm AUTO ammunition with the release of the
G20 SF and G29 SF pistols.
As another option to the G20 SF, a six inch hunting barrel will be
available and can be quickly swapped using the field stripping procedure.
With the six inch barrel, shooters will truly get maximum performance out of
their 10mm AUTO with remarkable accuracy.
Team GLOCK Shooting Squad Captain and Champion shooter Dave Sevigny adds,
"I really like the SF design since it approaches the 'feel' of the G34, G35
and G17 I have been so fortunate with while competing. GLOCK has another
winner here. These pistols will appeal to those who want a powerful cartridge
for Law Enforcement, self defense and hunting. Best of all, they have the
other GLOCK qualities of reliability, tough Tenifer finish and the
controllable GLOCK 'Safe Action' fire control system that is successful around
the world."
The GLOCK Standard Rail design will be retained on the three new pistols
to allow the use of all GLOCK tactical lights, lasers and accessories.
