About Fannie May

The first Fannie May retail store was opened by H. Teller Archibald in 1920 at
11 N. LaSalle St. in Chicago. By 1935, there were nearly four dozen retail
stores in Illinois and several neighboring states. Through the years Fannie
May developed candies that went on to become favorites that were often the
center of many family and holiday traditions. Fannie May(R) Pixies(R) were
first made in 1946 by hand-pouring caramel over nuts and then placing them on
a conveyor belt to be drenched in chocolate. That same commitment to the
quality of recipes continues today, with most of the same ingredients coming
from the same suppliers for many years now. Quality has always been the
driving force behind the making of Fannie May chocolates. Fannie May's growing
popularity as a premium quality product is due to their innovative approaches
in manufacturing, advertising and packaging. Fannie May stands by all its
products and for over 88 years has provided high quality gourmet chocolates
with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. In May of 2006 Fannie May joined the
1-800-FLOWERS.COM family of brands.

About The Eli's Cheesecake Company

The Eli's Cheesecake Company is a family owned business celebrating its 28th
anniversary this year. The cheesecake was created by famed restaurateur, Eli
Schulman, as the signature dessert for his steakhouse which was a Chicago
legend for 39 years. The tradition for quality continues with Eli's son,
Marc, who is the President of Eli's Cheesecake World, the 62,000 square foot
state-of-the-art bakery, cafe and visitors' center located on Chicago's
northwest side. Eli's uses a slow baking process on its cheesecakes in small
batches, taking the necessary time to allow the highest quality, all-natural
ingredients to develop to their optimum flavors. Using slow-cultured cream
cheese and sour cream helps Eli's achieve its signature taste and texture.
Eli's is a proud member of Slow Food U.S.A., an organization devoted to
preserving traditional foodways and educating people about food as a center of
community. Eli's prefers using regional ingredients from local farms and
producers who share Eli's commitment to quality.
