Russia VEB approves 15 bln rbl Gazprombank loan

MOSCOW Feb 5 (Reuters) - Russian state bank VEB's supervisory board approved a 15 billion rouble ($413.2 million) subordinated loan to Gazprombank on Thursday, the banking business of state gas monopoly Gazprom (GAZP.MM), VEB chief Vladimir Dmitriyev said. "The size of the loan to Gazprombank is indeed 15 billion" roubles, Dmitriyev said in remarks broadcast on Russia's Vesti news channel.

He also reiterated that VEB would guarantee a loan from Germany's KfW to Russian regional banks to help local industry finance innovative businesses. (Reporting by Melissa Akin; editing by Simon Shuster)
