LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Showtime has ordered a second season to "The United States of Tara," a drama starring Toni Collette drama as a woman with multiple personalities.

"Tara" has averaged 2.1 million viewers per week since its premiere last month, including repeat airings, which is better than "Dexter" and "Weeds" in their first seasons (the "Tara" number also doesn't include DVR use or on-demand viewing). Helping matters: Sunday night's fourth episode climbed 15% over the previous week.

As for Showtime's other current series, "The L Word" is already in its final season and "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" has a third season coming as part of the show's original acquisition deal.
