NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Curb Records recording artist
MIKESCHAIR has partnered with Food for the Hungry and extended a challenge to
their fans to get involved.

The call to action came together when band mates Mike Grayson and Jesse Hale
watched people gather at the church across from their apartment each Thursday
night. There would be music and ministry, but there was more going on. This
weekly gathering was when the church opened the doors of their food pantry to
people of the community who needed more then just fellowship. The guys were
humbled and surprised by the hardship of people literally in their own
backyard.

Seeing the need so close to home inspired guys to take action and "mikestable"
was born. Lead singer, Mike Grayson says "mikestable" is just the start,
"It's a vision and a dream of the band's to encourage our fans to not just
donate an item of food, but act out the gospel." The band asks fans to get
involved by bringing a non perishable food item with them to each show. The
food will then be contributed to local food banks and church outreach
programs. At each of the band's shows there will be a special table set up
with information about organizations and programs that fans can become
involved with, thus encouraging them to be a part of 'something bigger.'"

Recently MIKESCHAIR partnered with Food for the Hungry and has begun training
with them. Food for the Hungry works in more than 26 developing countries
providing disaster and emergency relief as well as sustainable development
programs. The organization was founded in the early seventies by Dr. Larry
Ward who was inspired by the teachings of Psalm 146:7 that reads, "He upholds
the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry."

"The whole goal is to encourage fans to get involved," says Grayson. "There is
so much hurt and need in the world, action can start with something as simple
as bringing a can of food to a show." MIKESCHAIR hopes people will come to
their show and feel inspired to act and wherever God is pulling them there
will be information at that table to help them on their journey.

MIKESCHAIR is currently on the road encouraging fans with their current single
"Can't Take Away." The band's debut Curb album is slated for later this year.
