Mischa Barton opts for "Beautiful Life"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "The O.C." alumna Mischa Barton will star in the CW's drama pilot "A Beautiful Life," which revolves around a group of male and female models sharing a residence in New York.

Barton will play Sonja, a supermodel and veteran of the high-fashion circuit who is struggling to keep on top.

Best known for her role as Marissa Cooper on "The O.C.," Barton can bring personal experience to the part of Sonja; she has modeled for such companies as Calvin Klein, bebe stores, Aeropostale, Monsoon Accessorize, Dooney & Bourke and JC (Jeans and Clothes).
