BEIJING | Mon Mar 23, 2009 2:24am EDT

BEIJING (Reuters) - China hopes the upcoming summit of the G20 group of nations next month will help boost confidence and improve coordination on economic stimulus policies, an official said on Monday.

He Yafei, vice foreign minister, also told reporters that Beijing would press for reform of international financial institutions with a view to giving a bigger voice for developing countries.

China also hopes the summit will help to shore up the fight against protectionism and lend continued support to developing nations, He said.
