BEIJING, March 24 (Reuters) - Sinopec Group said it processed 26.62 million tonnes or 3.29 million barrels per day of oil in the first two months of this year.

It did not provide any comparison, only saying the market share of its refining business increased 1.57 percentage points to 55.5 percent.

It also produced 6.8 million tonnes of crude oil and 1.3 billion cubic metres of natural gas during the period, in line with its plans, the group said in a release on its website (www.sinopecgroup.com).

The group's oil and gas production, refining and sales businesses, are mostly run by listed Sinopec Corp (0386.HK)(600028.SS)(SNP.N).

Wang Tianpu, president of Sinopec Corp, has been quoted as saying that the firm will achieve and even surpass all operational targets set for the first quarter.
