carriers and the state Medicaids, ZirMed expands the system to include
over 1,900 payers via electronic connection, as well as direct connection
to most government and large commercial payers.

Of special interest to ECS was the combined solution's ability to ensure
clean claims. "Now we can double-scrub our claims to make sure that
patient names, dates of birth, addresses, codes, eligibilities -- all the
routine facts -- are correct. This has given us a significantly higher
initial payment percentage," Hanna noted. In addition, ZirMed's rejection
analysis reports allow ECS to categorize rejected claims by reason,
enabling it to look for ways to improve its internal processes.

SystemOne's reporting features include 70 standard options along with the
ability to custom-design reports, lists and other exports. Together, the
two systems have given ECS a more dependable and comprehensive billing and
business management platform that has improved turnaround time and lowered
operating costs.
