Cardmember Christopher Mohawk of Toluca Lake, CA, earned his journey to the
stars on one of Virgin Galactic's early space flights after being randomly
selected from the names of Cardmembers who made at least $10,000 in purchases
on the card from launch through Jan 31. Entries could also be submitted via
the no purchase necessary mail in method.

An all access pass to the world and "beyond", the Virgin Atlantic American
Express Card from Bank of America offers rewards and benefits that are among
the best in the industry. Cardmembers earn 3 miles for every $1 spent on
Virgin Atlantic purchases and up to 1.5 miles for every $1 spent on everyday
purchases, making it one of the most rewarding major international airline
credit cards in the market today.

Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President of North America, Virgin Atlantic said,
"This rewards-rich card is an extension of the Virgin Atlantic brand that
enables us to engage our customers in a truly unique and rewarding way. We're
thrilled that our selected launch member is able to experience this amazing
journey."

There are two versions of the new Virgin Atlantic American Express Card from
Bank of America - black and white. The Virgin Atlantic White Card, which has a
lower annual fee, offers one mile for every dollar in purchases. The Virgin
Atlantic Black Card enables Cardmembers to earn more miles by offering 1.5
miles per dollar spent in purchases and more opportunities to earn bonus
miles.

Virgin Galactic Commercial Director Stephen Attenborough said: "We're
delighted to have partnered with our sister company, Virgin Atlantic, to bring
the ultimate experience to one very lucky Virgin Atlantic Cardmember -
Christopher Mohawk. His unique and life changing journey to the stars starts
here as a Virgin Galactic VIP and as a pioneer of a new industry. Christopher
will become part of the world's most exclusive club of future astronauts, all
of whom are closely involved in the project as it progresses towards the start
of commercial operations and from there to a place in the history books as one
of the first private individuals to experience the magic of space."
