New SunGard Availability Services Program Designed to Accelerate Business
Partner Growth

Program Helps Enable Business Partners to Expand Services Portfolios and
Create a Recurring Revenue Stream

WAYNE, Pa., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- SunGard Availability Services has
unveiled a Business Partner Program designed to help companies generate new
revenue sources by offering customers comprehensive availability solutions.
Business Partners can expand beyond traditional hardware and software
offerings by adding SunGard services to existing portfolios to create an
information availability solution practice for their customers.

"Working with partners is a strategic initiative for SunGard and presents an
opportunity for us to strengthen our industry presence and expand our
coverage," said Eric Berg, chief executive officer at SunGard Availability
Services. "We are making investments to develop a program that will support
and help enable partners to deliver information availability solutions to
their customers."

SunGard Business Partners can leverage the company's extensive portfolio that
includes business continuity, disaster recovery, managed IT services,
availability consulting, and business continuity management software. SunGard
Business Partners can use these offerings to help customers achieve higher
levels of performance and availability at a lower cost.

"Organizations of all sizes recognize the costly effects of downtime -- both
in lost dollars and lost competitive advantage," said Carmen Sorice, senior
vice president, channels at SunGard Availability Services. "Partners can
leverage SunGard's expertise, infrastructure and solutions to address the
growing opportunity and provide customers with solutions that can help them
meet their business and compliance requirements."

The Business Partner Program has two partner tracks: Solution Providers and
Referral Partners. The Solution Provider Program allows partners to resell and
integrate SunGard solutions into their existing portfolios. The Referral
Partner Program rewards partners that recommend SunGard services to customers.

Designed to support varying business models and commitment levels, the program
offers three participation tiers for both Solution Providers and Referral
Partners. As a member of the SunGard Availability Services' Business Partner
Program, partners receive the sales, marketing and technical resources
necessary to help them be successful in addressing their customers'
information availability needs.

"Globalization of business operations and 24/7 business delivery models have
made information availability and business continuity top of mind for C-level
executives," said Gregg Therkalsen, vice president, EMC Global Services.
"EMC's Managed Availability Services, currently delivered with SunGard
services, facilities and infrastructure, provide customers cost-effective data
center recovery solutions for mission-critical business processes and
applications that help enhance business continuity and reduce downtime."

One of SunGard's newest product offerings for partners to leverage is Virtual
Server Replication Services (VSR). This is a six-hour failover,
AdvancedRecovery(SM)solution for organizations using virtualization to operate
their business applications.

"Virtual Server Replication Services can help partners grow their business in
the increasingly popular virtualization space. It helps them create a
service-based recurring revenue stream by providing their customers with an
advanced level of protection for critical applications and data," said Sorice.
