SEC's Schapiro, Goldman Sachs CEO Blankfein to Speak at Council of
Institutional Investors' Spring Conference

WASHINGTON, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Mary L. Schapiro, the new chair of the
Securities and Exchange Commission, and Lloyd C. Blankfein, Chairman & CEO of
The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., are among a bevy of high-profile financial
experts who will speak at the spring meeting of the Council of Institutional
Investors.  The April 5-7, 2009, conference, "Change," will be held in
Washington, D.C., at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. 

Speeches and panel discussions at the three-day meeting will focus on the
global credit crisis, what's next for financial markets and corporate
governance. Experts also will share their thoughts about what changes are
needed to jumpstart the U.S. and overseas economies and restore confidence in
