Enterprise Names Alazne (Ali) Solis Senior Vice President, Policy and Corporate Affairs Executive Solis Continues to Lead Neighborhood Stabilization Efforts COLUMBIA, Md., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Community Partners Inc. (Enterprise), a national leader dedicated to community development and affordable housing, announced the appointment of Alazne (Ali) Solis as a senior vice president of for Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. In addition, Ms. Solis was recently named policy and corporate affairs executive, which expanded her focus to include the areas of communications, marketing, online services and resource development in addition to public policy. Ms. Solis' complete title is now senior vice president and policy and corporate affairs executive and she will split her time between the organization's Columbia, Md., and Washington, D.C., offices. "Ms. Solis brings a wealth of experience to her new position," said Doris W. Koo, president and CEO, Enterprise Community Partners. "She is a proven leader with vast policy and community development expertise. We know that Ms. Solis will bring her dedication and leadership to this new role to help Enterprise grow and fulfill its mission." Ms. Solis joined Enterprise in February 2000. During her time with the organization, she has advanced Enterprise's wide range of public policy priorities. In the summer of 2008, she led the Save America's Neighborhoods Campaign, a cross-industry taskforce of more than 100 national organizations that secured $4 billion in the Housing and Economic Recovery Act to stabilize communities struggling in the foreclosure crisis. Ms. Solis also played a key role in creating the National Community Stabilization Trust to facilitate the transfer of foreclosed and vacant residential properties from financial institutions and government entities to qualified local housing development partners. In addition, Ms. Solis has testified before the U.S. Congress as well as state and local policy-makers on the issues of housing, banking and tax legislation. She also has developed and maintained strategic alliances with national and local trade associations, regulatory agencies and banking and finance industry partners. Prior to joining Enterprise, Ms. Solis was the legislative director for the congressionally chartered Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation (now known as NeighborWorks America). She also worked in the private sector for W.R. Grace, AT&T and the Washington Group. She is an INROADS alumnus and a University of Maryland graduate with a dual bachelor's degree in political science and Spanish. In addition to her work at Enterprise, she is a past president of Women in Housing and Finance, Inc. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors for the Montgomery Housing Partnership.
