National Restaurant Association Calls for Entries for NRA Show Hot Chef
Grilling Challenge

Winner receives opportunity to showcase his/her recipe in culinary
demonstration at 2009 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel
Show

CHICAGO, March 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Restaurant
Association today launched its second annual chef contest on YouTube(TM) --
the NRA Show Hot Chef Grilling Challenge. Professional chefs and home cooks
alike are encouraged to submit short videos of themselves preparing their
favorite grilling recipes using trendy food and beverage ingredients -- the
more unique, the better. The winner will have the chance to showcase his or
her creations in the Culinary Scene interactive cooking demonstration area at
the world's largest restaurant and foodservice industry event -- the 2009
National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago, May
16-19.

"We're looking forward to the creativity and innovation chefs and cooks from
across the United States will demonstrate in their video submission for our
Hot Chef Grilling Challenge," said Lorna Donatone, Convention Chair for NRA
Show 2009 and President of School Services, Sodexo Inc. "It's now your turn to
master the grill, get in on the action and win the Hot Chef Grilling
Challenge. We are looking for competitors from all walks of life to grill it,
smoke it, sear it, scorch it or whatever you do to produce culinary
masterpieces with a grilling theme. We are sure to see some great recipes and
cooking techniques, and discover a wide array of ideas for both our own
commercial and back-yard grilling experiences this spring and summer."

Interested chefs and cooks should submit an original video demonstrating a
grilling recipe at www.youtube.com/nrashow2009 by April 24, 2009. Videos
should be no longer than two minutes and recipes must include at least one
item from the Association's "What's Hot in 2009" chef survey (available at
www.restaurant.org/show), for example new/fabricated cuts of meat, free-range
poultry or pork, locally grown produce, non-traditional fish, exotic fruits
and superfruits, alternative red meats and game.

The winning chef/cook will receive a showcase cooking demonstration in the NRA
Show 2009's Culinary Scene display kitchen area on May 19, plus a 3 day/2
night trip to Chicago including one single/double occupancy hotel room for 2
nights and one roundtrip coach airline ticket. The Culinary Scene will feature
butchers and chefs showcasing their skills all four days of the show,
highlighting how all varieties and cuts of meat can be transformed into
flavorful dishes, reducing food waste and maximizing profits.

YouTube users will vote for the top three submissions. The winning entry will
be chosen by a panel selected by the National Restaurant Association. Viewers
can rate each video from 1-5 stars through April 30, 2009.

No purchase necessary. Limit one video submission per person. Contest open
only to legal residents of the 50 United States, 21 years of age or older.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law. See Official Contest Rules at
www.youtube.com/nrashow2009. Please cook responsibly -- depictions of unsafe
or reckless cooking will not be accepted.
