Bancorp Rhode Island, Inc. (NASDAQ: BARI) announced today that it will release
its first quarter earnings for 2009 on Thursday, April 23, 2009. The Company
will host a conference call at 10 a.m. EST later that morning to discuss these
performance results. 

Merrill W. Sherman, president and chief executive officer, will host the
teleconference. Linda H. Simmons, chief financial officer and treasurer, will
join Ms. Sherman on the call. The conference call can be accessed by dialing
