Tenet Announces Date of 2009 Annual Shareholder Meeting

DALLAS--(Business Wire)--
Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) announced today that its 2009 annual
shareholder meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, beginning at 8 a.m.
Central Time, at the Westin Galleria Hotel, located at 13340 Dallas Parkway, in
Dallas. 

The business of the meeting includes: the election of 10 directors for terms of
one year each; the ratification of the selection of the company`s independent
registered public accountants for the year ending Dec. 31, 2009; a vote on a
shareholder proposal, if properly presented; and the transaction of any other
business that may properly come before the meeting. The deadline for submitting
shareholder proposals and nominations for directors at this year`s meeting has
now passed. 

Shareholders of record as of March 16, 2009 will be entitled to vote at the
meeting. A notice of meeting and proxy materials will be mailed to shareholders
and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the end of the month.
