European indexes seen up 0.7-1.4 pct - bookmakers

LONDON, March 24 (Reuters) - European shares are set to open higher on Tuesday, extending their previous session's sharp gains on Washington's plan to purge toxic assets from banks.

Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE to open up 23 to 28 points, or as much as 0.7 percent, Germany's DAX .GDAXI to open 29 to 41 points higher, or as much as 1 percent, and France's CAC-40 .FCHI to rise 24 to 39 points, or as much as 1.4 percent.

On Tuesday, Asian stocks rose to their strongest level in two months. [ID:nHKG153967]
