COPENHAGEN, March 30 (Reuters) - Danish industrial group Danfoss posted a net loss of 157 million crowns ($27.88 million) last year, down from a profit of 1.1 billion in 2007, despite rising sales, and said on Monday its markets were uncertain and nervous.

Net sales at the privately held group rose 22 percent in 2008 to 27.1 billion crowns, primarily as a result of the acquisition of additional shares in its majority-owned mobile hydraulics group Sauer-Danfoss (SHS.N).

Danfoss, which makes products for air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, said in a statement it believed the global setback would continue to affect its markets this year and that 2009 would be characterised by "reluctance, major uncertainty and nervousness."

Danfoss estimates that the current market situation will continue over the next two years. It sees sales falling slightly this year and expects to post a negative full-year result.
