Partner Companies will Demo the Platform and User Agent, Ad Widgets and TV
Widgets
PLANO, Texas, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- BIAP Inc., the leading provider of
elements essential to the successful implementation of EBIF (Enhanced Binary
Interchange Format), today announced multiple demonstrations at the 2009
National Cable Television Association (NCTA) Convention of their Platform and
User Agent, BIAP Ad Widgets and BIAP TV Widgets (applications). Not only will
attendees in Washington D.C. be able to see various elements of EBIF running
in the BIAP booth itself, but they will also find demonstrations available in
partner company booths around the floor, indicated by the signs, "EBIF AT
WORK."
BIAP has successfully deployed a BIAP Platform and User Agent in all digital
homes in several markets, enabling all levels of set top boxes, including
those with very low memory. In those markets, numerous applications have been
deployed. At the NCTA, BIAP will be running demonstrations of all of these
elements as well as BIAP Ad Widgets. Ad Widgets is an EBIF and SCTE 130
standards-based end-to-end interactive advertising system, which can handle
campaign management, delivery, viewer measurement and more.
Attendees can see all of these elements in the BIAP booth (booth CableNet
#136) inside the Cable Labs Pod. They will also be able to see some or all of
these same elements in the booths of Concurrent (Grand Hyatt Washington 1000 H
Street NW), Comcast Media Center's HITS AxIS demo ("The Lofts on Fast Lane" at
Broadband Nation), itaas (#1401), Macrovision (#1605) and Unisoft (CableNet
#136) and also at the CableNet Advanced Advertising display (CableNet #136).
"EBIF is poised to begin a broad rollout across the cable landscape," said Tim
Peters, BIAP CEO. "Our groundbreaking market-wide launches in all digital
boxes, even those with low memory, have demonstrated to the industry that the
EBIF standard is viable and will open the door to a new way of enhancing
television, especially on the ad sales front. We are very pleased that other
companies want to participate with us in making available a complete portfolio
of tools for the cable industry. Look for the yellow signs that say, 'EBIF AT
WORK' as you walk around the floor of the convention and see how the future
can work."
