IRVINE, CA, Mar 30 (MARKET WIRE) --
Brand Affinity Technologies, Inc. (BAT), the company bringing athlete and
celebrity endorsements to the Web, and Getty Images, the world's leading
creator and distributor of visual content and other digital media, today
announced a limited exclusive relationship that provides BAT advertisers
access to Getty Images' high-quality editorial images of athletes and
celebrities for use in online campaigns. The relationship broadens the
variety of visual assets that are available to advertisers from the
moment BAT adds a celebrity to its Platform, and adds to the efficiency
of BAT's new model of online endorsement and partnership marketing.
"Getty Images sets the standard for high-quality imagery, and is the go-to
resource for the world's leading advertisers and media companies," said
Ryan Steelberg, President and CEO of BAT. "Compelling visuals are core to
BAT's value proposition: driving 'brand love' and buying behavior with
well targeted endorsements. Through our new relationship with Getty
Images, BAT's growing roster of athlete and celebrity talent can be
activated much faster, making it even easier for advertisers to quickly
leverage the power of athlete and celebrity endorsements."
Advertisers use BAT's Web-based Platform to launch endorsement ad
campaigns featuring athletes and celebrities. They identify and deploy
the most appropriate talent for online campaigns based on BAT Affinity
Ratings -- detailed analysis of performance and positive and negative
consumer associations -- in target markets nationwide. In addition to
video and still images already available on BAT's Platform, BAT
advertisers now have access to thousands of images from Getty Images'
extensive editorial collection. Now, advertisers can be up-and-running
with a celebrity endorsement campaign in a matter of days or weeks, which
is a marked departure from the traditional, offline process, where deals
often would take at least six months to close.
Currently, BAT's roster includes more than 1,400 athletes and celebrities,
with athletes representing every major professional sport in the U.S. BAT
has partnered with 47 talent agencies, bringing new revenue opportunities
to their clients while populating its Platform.
"BAT's innovative platform provides a new avenue through which we can
supply advertisers with the compelling imagery they need to create
standout online campaigns," said Carmin Romanelli, vice president of
sports business development for Getty Images. "Our relationship with BAT
is a natural extension of our digital offering, and part of an innovative
and exciting shift in the business of endorsement and partnership
marketing."
Getty Images' content is available exclusively for automated, online
endorsement purposes through BAT's Platform, the first online resource for
securing, licensing, and activating celebrity and athlete endorsements.
BAT recently emerged from its Beta stage, during which in-market analysis
showed that BAT-enabled ad campaigns delivered an average of 13.5 times
advertisers' typical conversion rates and 3.5 times advertisers' typical
click-through rates. BAT-enabled ads also delivered significant results on
a branding level: an independent study measured a 180% increase in brand
awareness and a 27% increase in purchase intent when comparing campaigns
featuring athletes and the same ads with no endorsement.
