Agreement Extends Programming and Networking Opportunities to Charlotte`s
Technology Professionals


RALEIGH, N.C. & CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(Business Wire)--
The North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA), the primary voice of the
technology industry in North Carolina, has announced a strategic partnership
with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. The agreement will enhance the
programming and networking opportunities offered to members of the information
technology industry in the Charlotte area and allow both organizations to
collaborate on issues facing the technology sector. 

Among other collaborations, NCTA will partner with the Charlotte Chamber to
present events throughout the year, including the Emerging Technologies and
Trends Breakfast Series, Charlotte WISE (Women in Information Science &
Engineering) Programs, CIO (Chief Information Officer) Connection and the NCTA
Annual Conference. The first event under the new partnership, an Emerging
Technologies and Trends Breakfast event entitled "A Glimpse Into The Future Of
Smart Energy: How Technology Will Make a Difference", was held today at the Paul
Anderson Auditorium. The breakfast is the first of four to be held this year in
Charlotte.

Charlotte Chamber members qualify for the NCTA member registration rate for the
events held in Charlotte and other select NCTA events held statewide.
