TEL AVIV, Israel--(Business Wire)--
Axxana today announced that it has been named to the list of "Cool Vendors in
Storage Technology, 2009"1 by Gartner, Inc. The company is one of five storage
vendors named to the analyst firm`s list.

Axxana`s technology is the first-ever to enable 100% disaster recovery (DR) with
no data loss over any geographical distance, all with a significant cost
savings. Axxana offers a new approach to data protection by securing the data
through the disaster, ensuring the full survivability of all the data in the
enterprise.

Among the Gartner report`s key findings: "Cost-effective and foolproof DR
solutions are critical should a catastrophic event impact the primary data
center."

"It is a tremendous honor to have our company recognized by Gartner," said Eli
Efrat, Axxana`s CEO. "In my opinion, inclusion in this report is further proof
that the Axxana Phoenix system has the potential to completely alter the way
enterprises think of disaster recovery and their Data Center strategies going
forward."

Axxana`s Phoenix System enables organizations to significantly save on Capex and
Opex by utilizing existing asynchronous replication solutions and sending data
to a remote location, while at the same time, locally protecting a synchronous
copy of the most recent write operations in a disaster proof, new generation,
storage device. Axxana`s solution combines airplane flight data recorder (Black
Box) expertise with newly developed technologies to create a hardened
"Enterprise Data Recorder" (EDR) storage system capable of withstanding extreme
conditions to preserve business data in the event of a disaster.

About Gartner's Cool Vendors Selection Process

Gartner's listing does not constitute an exhaustive list of vendors in any given
technology area, but rather is designed to highlight interesting, new and
innovative vendors, products and services. Gartner disclaims all warranties,
expressed or implied, with respect to this research, including any warranties of
merchantability or fitness of a particular purpose.

Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions
that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they couldn't do before;
Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake
of technology); Intriguing, have caught Gartner's interest or curiosity in
approximately the past six months.
