Pratt & Whitney to Provide up to 80 PurePower(TM) PW1000G Engines for Lease
Corporation International's Bombardier CSeries Order

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pratt & Whitney will
provide exclusive power for up to 40 new Bombardier CSeries(R) aircraft
ordered by Lease Corporation International as part of a contract announced
today, which includes 20 firm and 20 option aircraft. The Bombardier CSeries
aircraft is powered by two PurePower(TM) PW1000G engines, which target double
digit reductions in fuel burn, environmental emissions, engine noise and
operating costs. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX)
company.

"We are excited about the future of Bombardier's CSeries jetliner family,"
said LCI Chairman, Adam Tomazos. "Market studies carried out by ourselves and
other organizations see a large worldwide demand for aircraft in the 100- to
149-seat category over the next two decades and the CSeries jetliner family is
a perfect fit."

"The competitive advantages of the Bombardier CSeries include the efficiency
and performance of the PurePower(TM) PW1000G Engines," said Gary R. Scott,
president, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. "These advanced technology engines
will help to deliver double digit reductions in fuel and cash operating
costs."

"This order, along with Lufthansa's firm order earlier this month, gives Pratt
& Whitney the opportunity to provide up to 200 PW1000G engines for Bombardier
CSeries aircraft," said Todd Kallman, president, Pratt & Whitney Commercial
Engines & Global Services. "Our engines will help our customers with double
digit reductions in fuel burn and operating costs."

The announcement marks the third order for the PurePower PW1000G engine, which
also powers the Mitsubishi Regional Jet that received its launch order from
All Nippon Airways in 2008. Both aircraft are scheduled to enter service in
2013.
