AMT Announces Cutting Edge Building Security API for Latest Microsoft Technologies Use of new Microsoft technologies enables dramatically easier software development for creating physical security management applications supporting next generation user interfaces SAINT PAUL, Minn., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Announced today, AMT is introducing the OpenFoundation service, Brix development tools and client side API. These new products enable software developers to manage security devices using a very easy to learn API requiring very little coding effort. The OpenFoundation service provides a standards-based Web Service implementation using Microsoft's WCF, and supports breakthrough user interface development with Microsoft WPF and Microsoft Silverlight. AMT's Brix suite of components (available in a future release) will provide resources and reference applications to simplify creating new user interfaces with WPF, Silverlight, and ASP.NET for the OpenFoundation service. These add to AMT's current WebBrix reference application providing a feature-complete ASP.NET application for managing building access control, and video surveillance. AMT's next major release of WebBrix will add support for the new wireless all-in-one access controller/locksets from Sargent Manufacturing, and will continue to support HID's Edge and VertX products. Persons interested in participating in the beta program should contact Dean Forchas at dean.forchas@amt-us.com or by phone at 763-557-0800 ext. 210.
