Insyde Software, a leading provider of Universal Extensible Firmware Interface
(UEFI) based firmware, BIOS and engineering services today announced the
availability of InsydeH2O for the Intel® Xeon® Processor 5500 Series, which
provides an advanced UEFI BIOS solution for a wide range of servers,
workstations, blades, embedded appliances, communications and storage systems.

The Intel Xeon 5500 Platform includes support for the Intel Xeon Processor
W5580, Intel Xeon Processor 3500 Series and 5500 Series as well as the Intel
5520 and 5500 Chipsets and the Intel X58 Express Chipset.

The platform is based on the latest generation 45 nm Intel microarchitecture
previously code named Nehalem, representing the next step in energy efficiency,
performance and virtualization with an integrated memory controller, providing
the performance, memory and I/O capabilities needed to meet a wide range of
compute-intensive applications.
