AUSTIN, Texas--(Business Wire)--
Business District Magazine today announced the second annual Central Texas
Funding Symposium (www.FundingSymposium.com), a one-day conference focused on
helping entrepreneurs throughout Central Texas prepare their companies for
funding and help them make connections with investors and funding sources.

The Central Texas Funding Symposium will be held on May 7th at the Norris
Conference Center, and will feature sessions examining the types of investments
Angels and VCs are looking for as well as topics such as market validation and
positioning, alternative financing, how to move from employee to entrepreneur,
and the ins and outs of term-sheets.

The conference has attracted a distinguished roster of speakers and panelists
and has secured a prominent Keynote presentation from David Rose, Chairman of
the Board of the New York Angels, Inc., the leading angel investment consortium
in the New York region. Through his investment fund, Rose Tech Ventures, he
provides capital and management expertise to promising early stage companies.
His Keynote topic is "Everything You Think You Know is Wrong!" and promises to
spark some lively discussion.

The conference will also feature a "fast pitch" competition where entrepreneurs
get a one-minute pitch in front of a panel of investors. Entrepreneurs can
submit their executive summaries for consideration to Hall Martin at
director@austinentrepreneurnetwork.com. Deadline for submission is April 15,
2009.

"We`re excited about our participation in the Central Texas Funding Symposium,"
states Hall T. Martin, director of Austin Entrepreneur Network. "The Central
Texas Entrepreneur Funding Symposium promises to be the premier event, educating
entrepreneurs about the steps needed to raise capital and grow their
businesses."

At the event, business owners will have the opportunity to collaborate with
peers and investors about shared experiences in fund raising and create key
relationships to grow business in Central Texas.
