NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
In celebration of Cash Money/Universal Republic Records' breakthrough star Kevin
Rudolf's first headlining Tour, The Let It Rock Tour, produced by Live Nation,
which kicks off April 3rd in Nashville, TN, Kevin has teamed up with Metropark
for the much-buzzed about "Livin` It Up" Flyaway Contest.
Sponsored by trend-setting lifestyle destination Metropark, in affiliation with
Gibson Guitar, Logic Wireless, and imeem, the exclusive promotion will send one
Lucky Winner on a special trip for 2 to the stomping grounds of noted hip hop
imprint Cash Money Records, headquartered in Miami, FLA, (Kevin was born in NYC
and raised in Miami) where the artist will take time out from his non-stop
touring regimen to escort the winner and guest to his favorite hometown spots.
This "Livin` It Up" Grand Prize will include a drop-in visit to the actual
recording studio where Kevin and other Cash Money superstars record all their
hits. In addition, Kevin will present the winner with an Autographed Ebony
Gibson Melody Maker Guitar, a Logic Bolt 1.0 Projector Phone and take the winner
on a $1000 shopping spree at the Miami Metropark store. The contest begins on
Thursday March 26th at http://www.livenation.com/kevinrudolf.
The groundbreaking chart topper continues to reign as music's most touted
genre-defying newcomer, propelled by the blazing multi-platform success of his
global anthem "Let It Rock," which reached Top 5 heights in the U.S., UK,
Canada, Australia, and Germany, among other territories. The charismatic
singer/songwriter/producer is enjoying continued success with his scorching new
single "Welcome to the World." Kevin will be performing both songs on the 25
city roll-out, showcasing his entire arsenal of hits from his acclaimed debut
album IN THE CITY on his first major headlining, cross-country trek. The Let It
Rock Tour will feature a host of trailblazing artists on the bill, including
Hyper Crush, New Jersey rockers Cash Cash, punk/funksters The Audition, and
Nebraska pop band Go Crash Audio. Myspace phenomenon Jeremy Greene has also just
been added to what many music forecasters are calling the most cutting edge live
jaunt of 2009, so far.
The multi-talented artist will bring his arena-ready electro-rock to American
concert venues armed with one of the biggest multiple-format radio hits in
recent memory - the explosive "Let It Rock" - the first single from his Cash
Money/Universal Republic debut album, IN THE CITY. The defiant, synth-fueled
anthem, boosted by a snarling cameo from multiple-Grammy winning hip hop legend
and label mate Lil Wayne, has been leading the rock/rap charge since its release
in the second half of 2008. Hailed for its stirring blend of influences, (its
cross-cultural appeal is evident in its use as one of HBO`s most popular 2009
music choices for their `It`s Not TV - It`s HBO` promo, and its placement as the
theme to the WWE`s 2009 Royal Rumble) Entertainment Weekly calls "Let It Rock,"
an 'infectious debut that mixes his rap-track know-how with his love of
guitar-god theatrics,' with People Magazine praising IN THE CITY as 'a place
where rock coexists with dance, pop, intermingling with hip hop.' The dazzling
call-to-arms has emerged as a multi-platform phenomenon, becoming one of the top
selling digital singles, logging 3 million downloads on iTunes, buoyed by a
mesmerizing video also featuring Lil Wayne and directed by Justin Francis,
(Eminem, Alicia Keys, 50 Cent), and currently nearing the 2 million views
milestone on youtube.
