MILITARY HERO

WHAT: The national non-profit, Rebuilding Together will provide critical
handicap accessible modifications to the home of Mark Meunier with the work of
an estimated 50 community volunteers. The local community has rallied around
Mark and his wife, Dawn, to help them cope with their increasing bills and
daily activities. Members of the VFW, Lion's Clubs, Green Bay Packers and
radio stations have all offered support to the Meuniers.

Rebuilding Together Greater Green Bay will be replacing the roof, installing a
wheelchair ramp, replacing windows, building a new accessible bathroom on the
first floor, repairing electrical wiring, installing a new water heater and
furnace, installing a new front door, replacing flooring, and painting.

WHO: Mark M. Meunier is a recently retired Army Sergeant. He served in
Operation Iraqi Freedom, Somalia, and the Persian Gulf War. While in Iraq he
was caught in a double IED explosion which resulted in knee, ankle, shoulder
and wrist surgeries. He suffers from a traumatic brain injury (TBI), extreme
rheumatoid arthritis, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and a lower back
injury. As a result of his injuries Mr. Meunier has significant mobility
issues, extreme back pain and is prevented from performing many simple tasks.
He can only walk for short distances and is not expected to run again. He
cannot raise his right arm above his head and experiences short term memory
loss. Mark spent the last few months of his service at the local armory in
Green Bay, Wisconsin, working with reservists, while receiving ongoing
treatment for his injuries.
