The event will also feature: * 1 or 2 mile walk around the park ($25 pre-registration fee/$30 day of) * Chinese raffle and Big Ticket raffle, featuring an East side and West side Dining and Entertainment package, each valued at more than $1,000 * Dog contests * Food concessions * Local craft and pet-related vendors * Canine demonstrations For complete information and online registration visit www.pawsohio.org. The Public Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) was founded in 1976. PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization considered to be one of Ohio`s most reputable long-standing cat and dog humane rescue groups. PAWS is dedicated to the rescue of homeless animals in Northeastern Ohio. The mission is to rescue stray and/or abused cats and dogs and place them in good homes. It is a PAWS policy to adopt animals to responsible homes only in the greater Cleveland area. Medical care and temporary foster homes are provided to rescued animals. PAWS policy ensures that all animals are spayed or neutered so that the cycle of births that result in more pets than homes does not continue. The advantage of adopting a fostered animal is that potential adopter will be made aware of the animals` personalities, habits, likes and dislikes in the home environment. PAWS can help find the perfect companion for anyone`s home and lifestyle. PAWS is a no kill organization unless an animal is suffering. PAWS philosophy is that kindness to animals helps build a better world. Through the generosity of other caring individuals, PAWS can ensure that animals who come into the care of PAWS will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid or in pain. Note to editors: Amy Beichler, PAWS Executive Director, will be available for interviews before and during this event.
