NEW ORLEANS, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- One year following the passing of

awareness of Merkel Cell Carcinoma, the deadly disease that took Copeland's
life. During halftime of the Hornets contest against the Denver Nuggets, the
Al Copeland Foundation announced that it would continue as title sponsor of
the Chris Paul Basketball Camp and also announced the introduction of a
limited edition CP3 wristband with 100% of the proceeds to benefit charity.

"I am extremely proud to align the Al Copeland Foundation with a great
individual in Chris Paul and a fantastic organization in the New Orleans
Hornets. Through our partnership with the Chris Paul Basketball Camp, we are
able to help hundreds of kids realize their dream of attending a top-tier
basketball camp while also raising funding and awareness to battle the disease
that took my father's life," said Al Copeland Jr., CEO of Al Copeland
Investments. "We are excited to team with Chris to introduce the limited
edition CP3 wristband. Every dollar from the sale of the wristband will help
support these two charities and we will reward donors further by entitling
them to special offers and discounts every time they visit one of our
restaurants from now through May 5."

Worn by Chris Paul during the Hornets game against the Denver Nuggets, the
limited edition CP3 wristband ($3.00) is available online at
www.alcopelandfoundation.org and is also being sold at Copeland's locations
throughout New Orleans. All wearers of the wristband will be entitled to
$5.00 off their meal every time they visit a Copeland's restaurant between
March 25th and May 5.

The wristbands were debuted at the March 25th game against the Hornets, with
proceeds on game night split with a third charity, The Shinn Foundation, a 501
(c) (3) non-profit organization committed to building a lasting legacy
throughout the city of New Orleans and the entire Gulf Coast Region.

Additionally, Copeland's announced donations of $15,000 to the Chris Paul
Basketball Camp and the Al Copeland Foundation. As the official title sponsor
of the Chris Paul Basketball Camp, Copeland's will help provide scholarships
for children of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana to attend the
premiere camp.

Continued support of these foundations is possible by purchasing the recently
launched Chris Paul CP3 dish at all Copeland's restaurants including
Copeland's of New Orleans, Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro and Copeland's Social
City. Introduced in the Fall of 2008, the CP3 dish is a chipotle chili
marinated pork loin with chili mashed potatoes. All proceeds will benefit
both the Chris Paul Basketball Camp and the Al Copeland Foundation.
