LONDON (Reuters) - The G20 nations are still trying to hammer out an agreement over reforms to financial regulation and additional resources for the International Monetary Fund, Prime Minister Gordon Brown's spokesman said on Wednesday.

"We are not there yet," the spokesman told reporters, adding that Britain was still hoping for a successful conclusion of Thursday's summit.

"There is clearly a lot of detail that needs to be worked through on the reforms to financial regulation," he said. "There is an ongoing discussion about the additional resources the IMF needs. We have made it very clear that the IMF has the resources it needs to do its job.
