Jacobs Receives Contract for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission San
Joaquin Region Projects
PASADENA, Calif., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group
Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide
construction management (CM) services for the San Francisco Public Utilities
Commission's (SFPUC) San Joaquin Region Projects. Jacobs will operate as a
major subcontractor to PMA Consultants, LLC (PMA).
Construction costs for these projects are estimated to be approximately $350
million. PMA's professional CM services contract with the SFPUC is for $28
million and Jacobs' subcontract value is approximately $11 million.
The projects are generally located in the California Central Valley on the
east side of the Altamont Pass. Projects include construction of 11 miles of
new 92-inch diameter pipelines; rehabilitation of existing pipelines; new
crossover valve structures; a throttling station to improve emergency pipeline
shutdown capability and operational flexibility; Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA) system upgrades; a new 315-million-gallon-per-day
ultraviolet and chemical feed facility; as well as coordination with other
concurrent water quality improvement projects.
