Encourages SMB Market to Take Advantage of Productivity-Boosting Software
HOUSTON, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- click2try today announced the availability of
three new Open Source applications in its catalog, including OWL Intranet
Knowledgebase, KnowledgeTree Document Management Software (Community Edition),
and eGroupware. The addition of these popular Open Source applications expands
the collaboration, document, and file sharing capabilities available to
click2try users. This increases the number of Open Source applications to more
than 40, that users can try and use on-demand from the click2try.com site.
click2try (http://www.click2try.com), a Community site that features a catalog
of virtualized Open Source software, has also announced the addition of major
upgrades of Eclipse, OrangeHRM, and TikiWiki to replace older versions already
in the catalog.
click2try's virtualized OWL Intranet Knowledgebase application provides
on-demand access to the popular document repository and file management
system. Trial users of the click2try hosted applications will be able to
access all of the OWL features, including multi-user environment, file
sharing, file and directory security, version control, file and folder
monitoring, group notifications, just to mention a few. Subscribers to the
click2try premium accounts enjoy persistent access to the applications,
automatic backup, secure access, and offsite storage.
click2try users will be able to easily take advantage of all of the community
edition features of the KnowledgeTree Document Management Software, including
creating document types for all of your company documents, from invoices and
statements to project plans and engineering specifications, and creating
specific workflow processes for each document. click2try premium subscribers
can easily share access to applications with other staff members and
registered click2try users, to take advantage of KnowledgeTree's collaboration
capabilities.
click2try provides its users access to a popular and powerful groupware system
with eGroupware. The eGroupware software provides integrated email, calendar,
address book, task manager, file manager, wiki, and Knowledgebase in a
simplified Web-based user interface. All elements of eGroupware are designed
to encourage collaboration between eGroupware users. As with all click2try
hosted applications, users can share application access and data with multiple
registered users, making collaboration easy and transparent.
Additionally, click2try has upgraded existing hosted applications to major
versions. Eclipse 3.4.1 includes a number of new plug-ins to help developers
work more effectively, as well as improvements in size and processing speed.
click2try's OrangeHRM application has been upgraded to OrangeHRM 2.4, which
adds support for a new recruitment module. The click2try TikiWiki application
has been upgraded to TikiWiki 3.0.1, which enhances the look and feel of
