Compass Minerals Subsidiary Appoints Pool Corporation as Exclusive Wholesale Distributor

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(Business Wire)--
Pristiva Inc., a subsidiary of Compass Minerals (NYSE: CMP), has signed a
distribution agreement making Pool Corporation (NASDAQ: POOL) (GSM: POOL) the
exclusive wholesale distributor of Pristiva products to the U.S. saltwater pool
market. Pristiva is a system of patent-pending specialty products that combines
the highest-purity, fastest-dissolving salt with other minerals and additives to
address the unique needs of saltwater pools. PoolCorp is the world`s largest
wholesale distributor of swimming pool and related backyard products. 

"PoolCorp serves 38,000 builders, service technicians, and specialty pool
retailers. This agreement will make Pristiva more readily available for the more
than 1.3 million saltwater pools in the U.S.," said Bob Harper, general manager
of Pristiva. 

Compass Minerals` SureSoft product line for saltwater pools will continue to be
distributed through its current distribution network.
