The University of Saarland Clinic Blood Center collects 30,000 whole blood
donations per year. EdgeBlood and EdgeLab will be deployed on 25 workstations
in the blood center and laboratory. Up to 50 remote users will access the Web
result server EdgeNet. Five analyzers will be connected to EdgeLab, Inlog's
Laboratory Information System.

"After detailed market research, the University Medical Center of Saarland has
decided to install the LIS EdgeBlood/EdgeLab from the company, GLI. This
decision was made because, among other reasons, the system can completely
control the management of all essential services in transfusion medicine.
Moreover, the software is already in use in the National German Red Cross
Blood Donation Services. It has also been used successfully in comparable
university facilities for many years. In view of the connection between
pharmaceutical and clinical aspects of transfusion medicine, EdgeBlood and
EdgeLab will create a center of excellence for the University Medical Center
of Saarland," stated Prof. Dr. med. Hermann Eichler of the Institute of
Clinical Hemostaseology and Transfusion Medicine Homburg/University Medical
Center of Saarland.

EdgeBlood, known as "CTS Serveur" in the French market, is a leading Blood
Center management system that manages all blood that is drawn, tested,
produced and labeled in France by the Etablissement Francais du Sang, the
French Blood Establishment (EFS). EdgeBlood is also used to process more than
half the blood drawn in Germany as well as processing significant parts of the
Austrian and Swiss blood supplies. EdgeBlood is also used in Greece as well
as five African countries. EdgeBlood has an easy-to-use Windows graphical
user interface and contains all major functionality needed by a blood center
from donor recruitment through product distribution.

Since EdgeLab was introduced into the hospital market in 1999 as "Labo
Serveur", it has become a leading Laboratory Information Management System in
Europe with more than 150 licensed laboratories. EdgeLab is connected with
more than 1,000 analyzers and interchanges data with all major hospital
healthcare software packages. It has a vibrant, easy-to-use Windows graphical
interface in addition to a comprehensive range of laboratory functionality.
EdgeLab can be easily configured to meet the business needs of large, diverse,
multi-site hospital laboratories, as well as small, single site hospitals.

Will Willman, Global Med's Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing
EU/ME/Asia, commented, "We are pleased to have placed both our EdgeBlood and
EdgeLab solutions at the University of Saarland Homburg Clinic. Our
reputation for having leading edge solutions, as well as excellent service in
Germany, earned this customer for us. We look forward to helping the Homburg
Clinic Blood Center provide quality blood products and services in their
community."
