TORONTO, ONTARIO, Apr 07 (MARKET WIRE) --
PinkSlipParty.ca will host its first Pink Slip Party for mid-senior level

their networks while helping those less fortunate.

from diverse industries including recruiting professionals.
PinkSlipParty.ca will connect attendees who have been or are about to be
pink slipped (wearing pink bracelets) with friends of pinkslippers and
performance coaches (wearing blue bracelets) and recruiters and
professionals from various companies who may be looking for new talent
(wearing green bracelets).
"We look forward to a very successful event! To date we've had
individuals from and formerly from over 50 companies R.S.V.P. and we know
there are more to come as we get closer to April 14," said Jean
Treadwell, volunteer organizer of PinkSlipParty.ca. "We recognized that
we are all part of a business community that is at a historic low point
and we wanted to provide an opportunity to network in a way that we can
all feel good about, as professional colleagues coming together to meet
new people and help others".
The event will be held Tuesday April 14th, 2009 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at
one of Toronto's finest restaurants Globe Bistro. Cost for attendees is
$20 at the door plus cash bar, with all net proceeds going to Project
Winter Survival, a volunteer organization that provides winter survival
kits with basic necessities to homeless.
