WESTLAKE, Ohio--(Business Wire)--
Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) was recently recognized for product
innovation and customer service in the electronics manufacturing industry as the
company was named a multiple winner of Circuits Assembly magazine`sNew Product
Introduction (NPI) and Service Excellence (SEA) Awards and Surface Mount
Technology magazine`s SMT Vision Award.

The awards were presented during ceremonies held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the
2009 IPC APEX Expo, the premier international technical conference for printed
circuit boards, design, electronics manufacturing and test. The accolades were
presented to Nordson subsidiaries Asymtek, Dage Precision Industries, EFD and
YESTech, all of which are units of the company`s Advanced Technology Systems
business segment.

Circuits Assembly's Service Excellence Awards (SEAs) recognizes companies that
received the highest customer service ratings, as judged by a survey of their
own customers. Awards in the category of electronics assembly suppliers went to
Asymtek for dispensing and EFD for materials. The magazine`s NPI Awards
recognize leading new products for electronics assembly introduced during the
past 12 months. The awards were selected by an independent panel of four
practicing industry engineers. Asymtek was recognized in the dispensing
equipment category for its DispenseJet DJ-100 product. Dage Precision Industries
was recognized in the test and inspection category for its XD7600NT100 Ultra
High Resolution X-ray Inspection System.

Products nominated for the SMT Vision Awards are evaluated on their ability to
meet a significant industry challenge, creative application of a new or existing
technology, overall quality and consistency of performance, economic merits, and
throughput characteristics. Products are judged specifically on their
innovation, cost-effectiveness, speed/throughput improvements, quality, ease of
use, maintainability/repairability and environmental responsibility. EFD was
recognized in the solder materials category for its PrintPlus and SolderPlus
lead-free, halide-free, water-soluble paste products. YESTech was recognized in
the inspection category for its X3 3D X-Ray Inspection System.

"We are delighted to receive these honors. This recognition is the result of our
employees, their tireless pursuit of excellence and the extensive relationships

closely with our customers and provide them with precision solutions that help
