Raritan Introduces Industry's First 64-Port Digital KVM Switch that Supports
More Users and More Servers at One Time

- Expanded Dominion KX II portfolio helps diverse IT infrastructures improve
productivity through remote and at-the-rack server access -

SOMERSET, N.J., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Raritan today expanded its
award-winning Dominion(R) KX II portfolio with the introduction of two
enterprise-class KVM-over-IP switches that support eight concurrent remote
users, and offer new productivity features to help IT administrators in
accessing and managing data center servers.

Designed for customers requiring secure server access from anywhere, the new
Dominion KX2-864 and KX2-832 switches enable multiple IT administrators --
eight remote and two local users -- to access up to 64 and 32 servers,
respectively.

The KX II provides BIOS-level access, so that all servers, including blades,
are always accessible -- even if a server's operating system is not working.
The KX II also enables remote installation of software, file transfers, data
backup and diagnostics with its Universal Virtual Media feature, and can
control power to servers with optional remote power strips.

"Our R&D team is focused on innovating for the customer. When customers asked
for tools to manage their growing, higher-density server rooms, we responded
with our enterprise-class Dominion KX II switches," said Peter Suriani,
Raritan Director of Product Management. "Raritan was the first to bring to
market 32-port and 64-port digital KVM switches - and is the only company that
offers 64-port digital KVM switches. Our new KX2-864 and KX2-832 models are
ideal for high-density enterprise server rooms that require high levels of
accessibility and reliability. They also are more cost effective on a
per-port basis and from a maintenance support perspective than deploying
multiple smaller switches. The 864, for example, is more cost effective than
four 2X16 switches."

Raritan's new Extended Local Port feature, which is available on the KX2-864
and KX2-832 switches, helps increase productivity by extending the local port
to another system or spot in the data center, or to a Raritan Paragon(R) II
switch for consolidated access. The new feature, for example, can provide
extended access in a control room or NOC or extend access to an area adjacent
to a data center.

About the Dominion Series
Raritan's extensive Dominion KX II portfolio, ranging from one port to 64
ports, helps IT teams manage more - servers, locations, technology platforms,
applications -- with fewer resources. Its easy-to-use, browser-based
interface provides a consistent user experience for both remote and
at-the-rack server management.

The Dominion KX II's advanced productivity features include a number of
industry firsts. Its unique Absolute Mouse Synchronization(TM) feature
eliminates time-consuming extra steps to adjust mouse settings for each target
server. For high availability, all models come with dual power supplies with
automatic failover -- the only KVM-over-IP switch family with this feature
standard. The KX II also provides the industry's highest remote video
resolution (1600 x 1200 pixels). For additional security or compliance
measures, the new Dominion(R) KX II Smart Card Reader Solution provides smart
card-authentication security.

All KX II models are CommandCenter(R) Secure Gateway (CC-SG) ready. CC-SG
provides unified access and consolidated security for infrastructures with
virtual and physical servers. It provides extensive server access options at
the rack or remotely from the office, home or on-the-road using secure in-band
and/or out-of-band access methods. Visit www.Raritan.com/KVM for more
