Human Relations Commission Announces Montgomery County Civil Rights Award
Winners

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Human
Relations Commission Chairperson Stephen A. Glassman today announced the
winners of the commission's Montgomery County Advisory Council Joseph X.
Yaffe-Robert Johnson Smith Civil Rights Awards. The annual awards recognize
community, law enforcement, religion and education leaders who have advanced
civil rights, equal opportunity or intergroup relations in Montgomery County.

"These outstanding individuals have made our communities better places to
live, work and learn," Glassman said. "We commend their selfless devotion to
improving the lives of those in Montgomery County, and promoting dignity and
equality for all."

The awards program, named for two prominent Philadelphia-area civil rights
leaders and Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission chairpersons, began in
1983 as an initiative of the commission's Montgomery County Advisory Council,
currently headed by Dr. Donald Clark of Willow Grove.

Winners will be recognized at a luncheon to be held May 12 at noon at the
Williamson Restaurant, 500 Blair Mill Road in Horsham, Montgomery County. The
event is open to the public. Tickets are $25 and can be ordered by contacting
