MakeMusic`s Monthly SmartMusic Subscription Report

SmartMusic subscriptions total 110,318
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
MakeMusic, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMUS) today announced monthly subscription results for
SmartMusic®, the music learning software for band, orchestra and choir.
SmartMusic subscriptions as of March month-end numbered 110,318, representing a
net gain of 827 from the previous month and a 19% increase over the prior year.
Additionally, at the end of March, 216 schools or districts had joined
SmartMusic`s site license program compared to 213 at the end of February. 

The Impact Gradebook, the web-based student grading and records management
system included with SmartMusic, showed 1,874 teachers have issued assignments,
a gain of 85 from the previous month and a 62% increase over March of last year.
Gradebook teachers, those having issued assignments to 50 or more students,
totaled 829 at the end of March. This compares to 776 Gradebook teachers at the
end of February and a 66% increase over last year. 

Finally, the number of SmartMusic educator accounts was 9,091 compared to 9,083
at the end of February, an increase of 8 accounts and an increase of 11% over
last year.
