U.S. General Services Administration Awards Harris Corporation Alliant IT
Services Government-Wide Acquisition Contract

WASHINGTON, April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS),
an international communications and information technology company, has been
awarded a Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) by the U.S. General
Services Administration to provide integrated IT solutions that support
federal agency missions.  This was a re-compete of the Alliant program that
was originally awarded in 2007.  Harris is one of 59 companies to be awarded a
five-year base contract, which has an additional five-year option.  The total
ceiling for the 
10-year contract is $50 billion.

Under the contract, Harris will compete with the other companies to provide a
wide range of IT products and services to support federal agency needs in the
United States and overseas.  The Harris solutions will be designed to meet
requirements for individual IT applications, general IT management, and
overall IT infrastructure needs.

civilian, intelligence and defense agencies."

Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) program, the National Reconnaissance
Office's Patriot program, the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) program as 
well as holding key positions on major GWAC and IDIQ contracts such as
NETCENTS, EAGLE, ITES-2S, FirstSource and others.

The Harris Civil Programs business unit provides highly reliable, mission
critical communications and information processing systems that meet the most
demanding needs of customers in the U.S. civilian federal marketplace.
Customers include the FAA, Census Bureau, National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration, Health and Human Services and the Government Printing Office.
