Douglas Jones Available BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of the decision to toss out the conviction of former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens, former U.S. Attorney G. Douglas Jones of Birmingham is available for media interviews and analysis. Jones, who has appeared on all major cable and television networks, testified before Congress in 2007 against the selective political prosecutions by agents of the U.S. Department of Justice. This morning, federal Judge Emmitt Sullivan tossed out the conviction of Stevens and launched a probe into the alleged misconduct of prosecutors who withheld critical evidence. Jones captured national attention as a U.S. Attorney in 2001 for successfully re-opening and prosecuting the civil rights related 16th Street Baptist Church bombing of 1963.
