OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Apr 07 (MARKET WIRE) --
On April 7, the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State for Science
and Technology, will join Dr. Eliot Phillipson, President and CEO for the
Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), to announce a significant new
investment in cutting-edge infrastructure at research institutions across
Canada.

After the announcement, there will be a photo opportunity and media
availability, followed by a tour of the Laboratory and Field Equipment
for Investigations of Organic Chemical Contamination in Fractured Rock
Beneath Industrial Sites. This CFI-funded infrastructure consists of
research on ground water and fractured rock. Broadcast quality visuals
will be available on-site.
The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) is an independent corporation
created by the Government of Canada to fund research infrastructure. The
CFI's mandate is to strengthen the capacity of Canadian universities,
colleges, research hospitals, and non-profit research institutions to
